Taxonomy
Prochoristella longa was named by Novokshonov (1997). Its type specimen is PIN 3288/281, a forewing (forewing with base missing), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Madygen, PIN collection 3288, Madygen (SW area), which is in a Ladinian lacustrine - small siliciclastic in the Madygen Formation of Kyrgyzstan.
