Taxonomy
Eastonastraea complexa was named by Stevens and Rycerski (1989). Its type specimen is GSC 85269 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GSC 43292 (SE-73a-58), Hummingbird Glacier, Iskut River, which is in an Asselian/Sakmarian shallow subtidal limestone in Canada. It is the type species of Eastonastraea.
