Palaeocentropus placidus

Taxonomy
Palaeocentropus placidus was named by Sukatsheva and Jarzembowski (2001). Its type specimen is BMB 021003, a forewing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Durlston Bay, Bed DB175, Swanage (BMB collection), which is in a Berriasian lagoonal siliciclastic in the Durlston Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Palaeocentropus.
