Changqingia was named by Lu and Zhu (1983) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm m Sepkoski's reference number: ZR83]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Ptychopariida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Solenopleuridae by Peng et al. (2009).
