Eomatsucoccus andrewi was named by Koteja (1999). Its type specimen is Cocc-0424, a wing (male wing), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Keymer Tile Works, which is in a Hauterivian pond mudstone/siltstone in the Weald Clay Formation of the United Kingdom.
