Dunderbergia was named by Walcott (1924) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Dres-u Cm Fran-l Sepkoski's reference number: 379]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Ptychopariida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Elviniidae by Jell and Adrain (2002).
