Glaphyraspis was named by Resser (1937) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Dres-l Cm Dres-u Sepkoski's reference number: 379,1017]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Ptychopariida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Lonchocephalidae by Jell and Adrain (2002).
