Taxonomy
Lemur tardigradus was named by Linnaeus (1758). It is extant.
It was recombined as Nycticebus tardigradus by Geoffroy (1812); it was recombined as Stenops tardigradus by Owen (1853); it was recombined as Tardigradus tardigradus by Stone and Rehn (1902); it was recombined as Loris tardigradus by Geoffroy (1796), Thomas (1911) and Gentry et al. (1994).
