Parabolinella was named by Brögger (1882) [Sepkoski's age data: O Trem-l O Trem-u Sepkoski's reference number: 80,378]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Triarthrinae by Harrington and Leanza (1957); to Oleninae by Robison and Pantoja-Alor (1968); to Ptychopariida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Olenidae by Bao and Jago (2000) and Jell and Adrain (2002).
