Aetheodontus besanensis
Taxonomy
Aetheodontus besanensis was named by Brough (1939). Its type specimen is BMNH P.19329, a skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Besano, Bender collection, Monte San Giorgio, which is in an Illyrian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal dolomite/shale in the Besano Formation of Italy. It is the type species of Aetheodontus.
