Taxonomy
Actinoscytina belmontensis was named by Tillyard (1926). Its type specimen is AM F.19788, a tegmen, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Belmont (Pincombe 1924 coll), which is in a Changhsingian pond chert in the Croudace Bay Formation of Australia.
