Taxonomy
Septastrea kerioides was named by Vaughan and Popenoe (1935). It is not extant. Its type locality is USGS 11937 Rocky Crossing, Little Brazos River, which is in a Danian coastal sandstone in the Kincaid Formation of Texas.
