Taxonomy
Typhlocyba was named by Germar (1833). It is extant. It is the type genus of Typhlocybinae, Typhlocybini.

It was assigned to Cicadellidae by Heer (1853); and to Typhlocybini by Dietrich et al. (2017), Borodin and Borodina (2021).
