Taxonomy
Greenideoida (Pentatrichosiphum) turolensis was named by Wegierek and Peñalver (2002). Its type specimen is MPZ 96/18, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Rio Rubielos 2 (MPZ coll), which is in an Orleanian lacustrine - large mudstone in Spain.
