Eocercopis similis
Taxonomy
Cercoprisca similis was named by Handlirsch (1939). Its type specimen is Ernst Moritz Arndt Universitat Greifswald 57/4, a forewing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Dobbertin, Mecklenburg (Greifswald collection), which is in a Toarcian offshore claystone in Germany.
It was recombined as Eocercopis similis by Popov and Wootton (1977), Dong et al. (2014).
