Taxonomy
Pachymeridium dubium was named by Geinitz (1880). Its type specimen is EMAU 57/12, a tegmen, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Dobbertin, Mecklenburg (Greifswald collection), which is in a Toarcian offshore claystone in Germany.
