It was corrected as Cleptidae by Evans (1973); it was reranked as the subfamily Cleptinae by Terayama (2004), McKellar and Engel (2014), Cockx et al. (2016), Pauli et al. (2019).

It was assigned to Ventropedonculati by Latreille (1802); to Aculeata by Evans (1973); and to Chrysididae by Terayama (2004), McKellar and Engel (2014), Cockx et al. (2016), Pauli et al. (2019).
