Taxonomy
Goerania petiolata was named by Liu and Engel (2007). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Grassy Lake, Medicine Hat (CNC June 1974 collection), which is in a Campanian terrestrial amber in the Foremost Formation of Canada. It is the type species of Goerania.
