Protoculicoides depressus
Taxonomy
Protoculicoides depressus was named by Boesel (1937). Its type specimen is ROM 6, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Cedar Lake (ROM collection), which is in a Campanian terrestrial amber in Canada. It is the type species of Protoculicoides.
