Pallenites calcarius
Taxonomy
Pallenites calcarius was named by Rasnitsyn and Jarzembowski (1998). Its type specimen is BMB 020511, a forewing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Durlston Bay, Bed DB36c, Hard Cockle Beds, Swanage, which is in a Berriasian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal marl in the Lulworth Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Pallenites.
