Taxonomy
Karabasia constellata was named by Popov and Shcherbakov (1991). Its type specimen is PIN 3795/1155, an exoskeleton (female), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Shev'ya site, outcrop 12 (PIN collection 3795), which is in a Tithonian terrestrial siliciclastic in the Ukurei Formation of the Russian Federation.
