Krocarites reflexa was named by Dietrich and Vega (1995). Its type specimen is FEVC, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber (FEVC), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.
