Scytinoptera mexicana
Taxonomy
Scytinoptera mexicana was named by Carpenter and Miller (1937). Its type specimen is YPM 15235, a tegmen (fairly well preserved tegmen), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Valle de las Delicias, near El Indio & Cerro Wencelao, which is in a Capitanian coastal shale in the La Difunta Formation of Mexico.
