Taxonomy
Dolichurus heevansi was named by Ohl (2004). Its type specimen is AMNH B-JH 87, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic amber (AMNH collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.
