Taxonomy
Aenictobelostoma primitivum was named by Polhemus (2000). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Warm Springs site, which is in a Callovian pond shale in the Todilto Formation of New Mexico. It is the type species of Aenictobelostoma.
