Taxonomy
Permocixiella was named by Becker-Migdisova (1961). Its type is Permocixiella venosa. It is the type genus of Permocixiellinae.

It was assigned to Cixiidae by Becker-Migdisova (1961); to Dysmorphoptilidae by Shcherbakov (1984); and to Permocixiellinae by Szwedo and Huang (2019).
