Taxonomy
Chilicola (Hylaeosoma) gracilis was named by Michener and Poinar (1996). Its type specimen is Poinar H 10-49, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber (Poinar coll), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.
