It was assigned to Aphidomorpha by Peñalver and Wegierek (2008); and to Tajmyraphidoidea by Heie and Wegierek (2011), Szwedo (2018), Ogłaza et al. (2022) and Ogłaza et al. (2024).

It was assigned to Tajmyraphididae by Heie (2000); and to Tajmyraphidoidea by Heie and Wegierek (2011) and Szwedo (2018).
Retinaphidinae was named by Heie (2000).

It was reranked as the family Retinaphididae by Heie and Wegierek (2011) and Szwedo (2018); it was synonymized subjectively with Tajmyraphididae by Ogłaza et al. (2024).

It was assigned to Tajmyraphididae by Heie (2000); and to Tajmyraphidoidea by Heie and Wegierek (2011) and Szwedo (2018).
Grassyaphidinae was named by Heie (2000).
