Taxonomy
Lachnus glandulosus was named by Menge (1856). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber, Danziger Naturkundemuseum Menge collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Poland. It is the type species of Mengeaphis.
It was recombined as Mengeaphis glandulosa by Heie (1967), Heie (1969), Becker-Migdisova (1973), Wegierek (1996), Heie and Wegierek (2011), Wegierek and Kania (2015).
