Taxonomy
Diphleps yenli was named by Santiago-Blay and Poinar (1993). Its type specimen is HE 4-17, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber (Poinar coll), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.
