Taxonomy
Meteoraspis orientalis was named by Yuan and Yin (1998). It is not extant. Its type locality is Yangweizhou-Jimachong, Glyptagnostus stolidotus zone, which is in a Guzhangian slope limestone in the Chefu Formation of China.
