Taxonomy
Auliepterix minima was named by Kozlov (1989). Its type specimen is PIN 4307/39, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Khotont locality (PIN collection 4307), which is in an Aptian lacustrine horizon in the Hotont Formation of Mongolia.
