Taxonomy
Mogzonoperla truncata was named by Sinitshenkova (1985). Its type specimen is PIN 3084/40, a nymph, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Mogzon (PIN collection 3084), which is in an Oxfordian/Kimmeridgian lacustrine mudstone in the Badin Formation of the Russian Federation.
