Taxonomy
Permothea latipennis was named by Tillyard (1926). It is an impression. Its type locality is Warner's Bay, Belmont (Mitchell 1923 coll), which is in a Changhsingian pond chert in the Croudace Bay Formation of Australia.
It was recombined as Protopsyllidium latipenne by Becker-Migdisova (1985).
