Merrifieldia oligocenicus
Taxonomy
Pterophorus oligocenicus was named by Bigot et al. (1986). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Aix-en-Provence (MNHN Paris Coll), which is in a Chattian lacustrine - large limestone in the Niveau du gypse d'Aix Formation of France.
It was recombined as Merrifieldia oligocenicus by Sohn et al. (2012).
