Taxonomy
Kotshkorkia laticeps was named by Dlussky (1981). Its type specimen is PIN 372/433, an exoskeleton, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Chon-Tuz, Kochkorskiy region (PIN collection 372), which is in a Miocene/Miocene lacustrine siliciclastic in Kyrgyzstan.
