Roussyana palmnickenensis

Taxonomy

Apis palmnickenensis was named by Roussy (1937). Its type specimen is MfN MB.I.1945, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic amber (Roussy collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.

It was recombined as Electrapis (Roussyana) palmnickenensis by Manning (1960), Zeuner and Manning (1976); it was recombined as Trigona (Roussyana) palmnickenensis by Kerr and da Cunha (1976); it was recombined as Electrapis palmnickenensis by Spahr (1987); it was recombined as Roussyana palmnickenensis by Engel (2001), Engel (2021).

Synonyms

Electrapis minuta was named by Kelner-Pillault (1970). Its type specimen is MfN NB.I.1945, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber, Zoological Museum, Humboldt Univ Berlin (ZHMB MfN) Collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.

It was synonymized subjectively with Apis palmnickenensis by Engel (2001).
