Taxonomy
Penthetria beskonakensis was named by Skartveit and Nel (2012). Its type specimen is MNHN BK 223 8C, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Bes-Konak, which is in an Aquitanian lacustrine - large diatomite in Turkey.
