It was assigned to Hormosinidae by Morlotti (1988); to Foraminiferida by Sepkoski (2002); to Reophacinae by Cushman (1927), Harlton (1933), Loeblich and Tappan (1984), Loeblich and Tappan (1988), Margerel (2012); and to Reophacidae by Hayward et al. (2022).
