Taxonomy
Capnuchosphaera okayi was named by Tekin (2002). Its type specimen is Pl. 1, fig. 1 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 97UKT141/01UKT245, Hocaköy Section, Antalya, which is in a Sevatian basinal (siliceous) chert/lime mudstone in the Gökdere Formation of Türkiye.
