Microbiotherium tehuelchum
Taxonomy
Microbiotherium tehuelchum was named by Ameghino (1887). Its type specimen is MLP 11-36, a mandible (nearly complete right mandibular ramus with p2-m4 complete), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Santa Cruz Formation, which is in a Santacrucian terrestrial horizon in the Santa Cruz Formation of Argentina.
