Taxonomy
Proplebeia abdita was named by Greco and Engel (2011). Its type specimen is NHM II 3044, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican Amber (NHML/BMNH collection), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.
