Nelumbo puertae
Taxonomy
Nelumbo puertae was named by Gandolfo and Cuneo (2005). Its type specimen is MPEF-Pb-Mz 864-A and B, a leaf, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Cañadón del Irupé, which is in a Cretaceous/Paleocene marginal marine siliciclastic/siliciclastic in Argentina.
