Taxonomy
Sclerodermus was named by Latreille (1809). It is extant. It is the type genus of Sclerodermini.
It was assigned to Bethylinae by Ashmead (1893), Kieffer (1905); to Bethylidae by Carpenter (1992); to Sclerodermini by Sorg (1988), Azevedo and Azar (2012); and to Scleroderminae by Azevedo et al. (2018), Colombo and Azevedo (2019), Brazidec et al. (2023).
