Taxonomy
Rubes bruesi was named by Perrichot (2009). Its type specimen is KU-NHM-ENT B-129 and is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber (University of Kansas SEMC Collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.
It was recombined as Prodinapsis bruesi by Vilhelmsen et al. (2010).
