Taxonomy
Conostigmus lazaros was named by Peñalver and Engel (2006). Its type specimen is MPZ-97/2489, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Rio Rubielos 2 (MPZ coll), which is in an Orleanian lacustrine - large mudstone in Spain.
