Taxonomy
Plagiolepis paradoxa was named by Dlussky (2010). Its type specimen is GZG.BST 25.012, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Bitterfeld amber (Kutscher Gottingen collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Germany.
