Valdicossus chesteri
Taxonomy
Valdicossus chesteri was named by Wang et al. (2008). Its type specimen is MNEMG 2008.2 [co 60], a hindwing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Cooden Beach, which is in a Hauterivian delta plain ironstone/claystone in the Weald Clay Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Valdicossus.
