Notonectites elterleini
Taxonomy
Notonecta elterleini was named by Deichmüller (1886). It is an impression. Its type locality is Eichstätt, Solnhofen (SNSD Dresden collection), which is in a Tithonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Solnhofen Formation of Germany.
It was recombined as Notonectites elterleini by Handlirsch (1906), Carpenter (1932); it was misspelled as Notonectites alterleini by Nel and Paicheler (1992).
