Taxonomy
Eriocampa disjecta was named by Cockerell (1922). Its type specimen is DMNH-1967, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Florissant (Colorado Mus. Nat. History Collection), which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large shale in the Florissant Formation of Colorado.
